Omen is one of those frigates you can use from the beginning of the game, to the very end. Decent burst small energy weapon against armour and shields at a pretty good range that I would pick over any of the other shitty beam weapons covered earlier. The Shalaika is very weak in direct combat and is mainly Nav Relay fodder as well as light PD at the cost of 4 DP so its probably more efficient to deploy dedicated warships most of the time unless you need the speed boost. Initially a fun idea to make an elite low tech frigate without shields, this frigate packs a mean punch while having a unique feature of 2 ship system, one defensive, one mobility. Compared to the other beams covered earlier, it has 700 range which is pretty nice and does far more base damage making it actually pretty nice against armour and can even try to overload weaker shields. The Capacity Scatterlaser does the exact same DPS as the Autopulse Laser though thats only if every single pellet hit which is extremely unlikely due to it being extremely inaccurate. Player-piloted Afflictor is the most powerful frigate by far. Energy weapons deal up to +30% damage at close range, based on the firing ship's flux level. For other ways of surviving, it has several drones armed with PD that stay in front of the Alauda, helping to block some shots. Its default name is "TTS Xenorphica". Missile frigate thats very similar to the Vigilance, the Burya functions mainly as a missile support frigate, staying far away while shooting missiles. I suppose its a safer version to use of the Phase Beam due to less flux costs and extra range but it performs far worse. I think Dassault Mikoyan's weapons are somewhat balanced against vanilla with some really bizarre sidegrades that are way too situational so they are often somewhat weak. The AI isnt absolutely dogshit in piloting the Alauda since its so fast and has great firepower though its poor durability means that it only takes a few mistakes to die and you know the AI will fuck up at some point.
